Road Guide To Death Valley National Park
Published in Paperback by Double Decker Pr (15 September, 1999)
Average review score:

Very good book !I'm french and I advice you all to buy this well-ilustrated book, with breathtaking photographs !
Road Guide to Death Valley National ParkThis Road Guide was the only book I purchased before traveling to Death Valley in April 2001 with my husband and two daughters, ages 12 and 10, and I found it was the only book we really needed. The Road Guide gives you all the information you need to explore Death Valley over a 2 to 3 day period of time. And don't worry about taking the "bumping" roadways if you don't have a 4WD! They are really no problem and actually have the most interesting scenery. I will look for other Road Guides for our future travels.

She Came to the Valley
Published in Paperback by Ballantine Books (January, 1979)
Average review score:

She Came to the ValleyThis book is about the early life of a pioneer family in the Lower Rio Grande Valley in south Texas. Her father was a doctor serving Valley residents. The most interesting facet of the story was the description of life during the early days of the Valley. It also is a tale of her life, loves and experiences as a women in the early 1900's. I heartily recommend reading this book. Although it is no longer in print, it may be found in many libraries.
Simply greatI saw the movie at the Rialto theatre in Harlingen Tx. The theatre was put together by my great grandfather in the early part of the 1900's. I was not totally impressed by it but it got my curiousity going and I found a copy of the book. I was VERY impressed by the book and was hoping to find a new copy. It seemed to go along with all the old tales I had heard of the valley in it's beginning years.

The Slime That Ate Sweet Valley (Sweet Valley Twins and Friends, No 53)
Published in Paperback by Skylark (October, 1991)
Average review score:

fun!!!Jess and Liz's class are set to make a movie, they have alot of fun making a horror-plot called THE SLIME THAT ATE SWEET VALLEY.Also, will super-shy Leslie get the guts up to try out for the main girls part?
The Making of a Class MovieThis is one of the most fun books in the Sweet Valley Twins series!! In this story, Jessica and Elizabeth's homeroom class is making a low-budget class horror movie. This fun story just follows the process of making that movie--from jealous Lila Fowler who wanted a bigger part, to Jessica whining because of her onscreen kiss, to the opening night of the video! This book is just fun to read, so check it out!

South Bay Trails: Outdoor Adventures Around the Santa Clara Valley
Published in Paperback by Wilderness Press (April, 1991)
Average review score:

A jewel that's not out of date yetEven though this book is rather old, it has complete coverage of the South Bay parks, so far I haven't found anything out of date, and it has features you don't find in other hiking books. Besides distance, time, elevation, and good maps, there's an appendix in the back that groups trails according to season (e.g., shady trails for summer), length, view, history, bicycles, wheelchairs, children, and so on. An extremely useful handbook!
Contains tons of useful informationThis book contains everything you'd want in a trail guide. It's up to date, with the latest edition being 1999. It has extensive maps and clear descriptions of how to get to trailheads, where to park and how much you'll have to pay when you get there. It includes lesser-known as well as popular areas. Finally, the trail descriptions are clear and useful. If this book doesn't inspire you to get out on the trail, nothing will.

Take a Hike!: Family Walks in the Finger Lakes and Genesee Valley Region
Published in Paperback by Footprint Press (July, 1999)
Average review score:

A very informative book!It lists difficulty of trails and whether bikes, horses, and pets are welcome. Appears well researched and gives accurate directions and descriptions of the area.
Thanks for an exceptional bookThank you Rich & Sue! Your book saved us from getting completely lost. My best friend and I took our kids on a hike at Hi Tor - we took the Conklin Gully Trail. If we had not had your book with us, we wouldn't have had a clue where to go, and would probably have had 4 to 6-hour hike, which we would have been totally unprepared for.
Your book is exceptionally well organized and well written. I only have the Take A Hike! Finger Lakes and Genesee Valley Region, but I will be getting others. I also have a lot of friends who love to hike and bike and will be recommending your books to them.
Keep up the good work. With this quality of work I hope your book is selling well. I also hope that you will be able to publish similar books for widespread geographic regions.

Take Home Death Valley National Park in Virtual Reality
Published in CD-ROM by Inyo Pro (02 July, 1999)
Average review score:

Death Valley Without the InconvenienceHaving just returned from Death Valley two days ago, The experience is fresh in my mind, and the photographs are in my hands. Pauls CD is is quite good. The 360 degree panoramic photographs give one a much greater sense of what it is like to be there than ordinary pictures can, even panoramic ones. All that is missing are the air temperature, smells, and eerie silence that the real thing offers. The CD will not replace being there, but it is a good pre-trip teaser or post trip souvenir. My only complaints are that the interface is a bit clumsey, and panning is a bit slow and jerky. These are more a problem with the state of the technology than anything else. A fast computer helps. In spite of these shortcomings, I think the CD is a good buy. Besides all the photos, there are many books and articles, the details of which can be seen at the inyopro.com website. System requirements are Windows 95 or greater, 100 MHz 486 with 16 Megs ram or Power PC 16 Megs of ram with system 7.5 or later.
Far too cool! This CD is a great example of Apple's QuickTimeVR technology, where you can "look" all around you, in 360 degrees.
A neat trick is that there are hidden areas in each panorama that you can click on, that will take you to different panoramas.
This CD-ROM is really useful if you are planning a trip to Death Valley.

TechVenture: New Rules on Value and Profit from Silicon Valley
Published in Digital by John Wiley & Sons ()
Average review score:

A Good Read!At first glance, Tech-Venture seems like a nostalgic flashback to early 2000. A quick skim through its pages reveals statements like: "Old economy valuation methods, such as discounted cash flows and comparable company multiples, are ineffective for New Economy companies." But don't be fooled, this book is more than just an obsolete relic of the bubble. Once you get past the sections devoted to high-tech start-ups, you'll find a thoughtful examination of technology's role in such critical 21st-century business mainstays as customer relationship management and supply-chain management. For this intelligent analysis, along with equally interesting chapters identifying technologies likely to spawn future revolutions, we from getAbstract recommend this book to managers in business development and technology.
Insights in every chapterTechVenture packs more insightful analysis into every chapter than any other book I've read recently. The chapters on Value and Wireless E-Business alone are worth the price of the book. It's good to see a realistic look toward profitability (at last!) and to have that realism temper a forward-looking work like this is a pleasure indeed. Bravo!

True Tales of Old-Time Kansas: Revised Edition
Published in Paperback by Univ Pr of Kansas (June, 1984)
Average review score:

Pioneers! Here's one for the history buffs out there. Kids and adults, read about frontier life in Kansas. This is an excellent addition to any library collection. -Native Kansan
A dream book.I live in New york on the Island. I've always, always had a fascination with the old west, and in particular the state of Kansas.. even though I haven't yet been there. For Christmas this year, my mum gave me among other things, an actual Kansas license plate along with this book. I started reading it right away and it has been entirely engrossing. Very interesting individual tales, some are pretty short, so this is the perfect book to read while on the train. I love it.

Twin Hearts (Sweet Valley High TV Edition, No 2)
Published in Turtleback by Demco Media (January, 1996)
Average review score:

funThis is a collection of novelistions(short stories actually)of the episodes from the SVH tvseries. They are fun, include pictures, and make me wish that I could see the tv show.
coma, what, me study?,the curse of Lawrence, and PrinceThis book was all about the twins. It showed how much they cared for each other, especially in the coma. In The Prince Of Santa Dora, I liked it. It was really good, because Jessica and Prince Arthur were a good couple, even though they couldn't really date seriously, since Prince Arthur was engaged to somebody else. If I were in the story of What, Me Study?, and I was on the cheerleading squad, I wouldn't want to see Jessica off the squad, and even though I'm not in the book, I didn't want to see Jessica off the squad. In The Curse Of Lawrence Manson, it was really funny, even though in some parts of it, some people were scared. I thought that when Liz and Jess and their friends played a trick on Bruce, Manny, and Gary, it was funny.

Valley Echoes
Published in Paperback by Writers Club Press (March, 2002)
Average review score:

Fun and IntriguingMs. Morgan does a great job of weaving a story. The layers and charachters take you in from the start. Sometimes you have to know where you have been in order to know where you are going. The past meets the present, and suddenly you believe in gaurdian angels, as the women in this book battle hate and prejudice idividually and together. All of this in addition to a very well put together plot.
Sabra Morgan does it againValley of Echoes was even better then the first book Mother Mountain by Sabra Morgan. She has you commited to the story line right off the bat. You are carefully lead through this tale of adventure with family ties and twists to carry you on to the next scene. Yes, it does give you the feeling that you are watching a great mystery adventure movie. I have know dought that these stories that Sabra Morgan writes could evolve into some movies if the right person where to take the time to read them. I truly look forward to reading her next book.
